Although no medication has been definitively proven effective in treating Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSCR), the condition often resolves spontaneously without the need for intervention. However, several studies have reported a potential benefit from laser photocoagulation treatment, particularly in selected cases. While direct laser treatment to the leakage site may not significantly improve the final visual outcome, it has been shown to shorten the duration of the acute phase and reduce the recurrence rate, bringing it down to approximately one-fifth of what would be expected without treatment. Laser therapy is typically considered when fluid persists beyond several months, if the condition affects the patient’s dominant eye or occupational vision needs, or in cases of frequent recurrence.
