Digital Retinal Photography is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that captures high-resolution, full-color images of the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels at the back of the eye. These images are used to screen for a variety of eye diseases, document baseline retinal health, and serve as a reference for future comparisons during follow-up exams. If a retinal condition or abnormality is detected, we may recommend additional high-resolution or enhanced imaging studies, such as Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), or B-scan ultrasonography, to provide more detailed information. Digital retinal photography is especially valuable for monitoring disease progression over time and assessing response to treatment.
